Brian Baumgartner

Brian Baumgartner (born November 29, 1972) is an Emmy Award-winning American film and television actor best known for his role as Kevin Malone on NBC's Emmy-winning series "The Office." In addition to his acting career, Baumgartner is also a New York Times Best Selling Author for his book "Welcome to Dunder Mifflin: The Ultimate Oral History of 'The Office'."

Baumgartner was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and attended The Westminster Schools in Atlanta. He attended high school with future "The Office" co-star Ed Helms, who graduated one year later in 1992. Before moving to Los Angeles, Baumgartner served as Artistic Director of Hidden Theatre in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he received multiple awards for artistic and acting excellence. In addition, Baumgartner performed regionally at the Guthrie Theater, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Children's Theater Company, and Theatre de la Jeune Lune. Baumgartner studied acting at the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University.

Apart from "The Office," Baumgartner's acting credits include films such as "License to Wed," "Four Christmases," "The Last Push," and "Into Temptation," and appearances on TV shows like Amazon’s "Hand of God," TNT’s "Good Behavior," and the Dreamworks Animation reboot of "Mr. Peabody and Sherman." He also starred in "My Boyfriend’s Meds" and "Electric Jesus," and will be starring in Paramount’s upcoming film "Rumble." Furthermore, Baumgartner has ventured into podcasting, producing and hosting the Spotify-exclusive “An Oral History of the Office” and co-producing and hosting “The Office Deep Dive.” He has won a Daytime Emmy Award, two SAG Awards, and a Webby Award for his roles and contributions in various projects. He recently launched his production company, 3 Bees Entertainment, which has undertaken projects including NBC Sports Specials and a web series about professional turtle racing. Baumgartner currently voices the character Walter on Netflix’s animated show "Trash Truck."

Baumgartner lives in Los Angeles with his wife and daughter. His multifaceted career continues to evolve, spanning across acting, writing, producing, and voice-over work, making him a versatile figure in the entertainment industry.
