Brian Bosworth

Brian Bosworth, nicknamed "The Boz," is an American actor and former professional football player who served as a linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League (NFL). Prior to his NFL career, he played for the University of Oklahoma, where he was recognized as a consensus first-team All-American in 1985 and 1986. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2015.

Known for his radical hairstyles and criticism of the NCAA as much as his on-field play, Bosworth embraced publicity and controversy. On more than one occasion, he referred to the NCAA as the "National Communists Against Athletes." He wore a T-shirt bearing that slogan during the 1987 Orange Bowl game following the 1986 season. Barred from playing in the game because of a positive steroid test, Bosworth unveiled the shirt while standing on the sidelines to the shock and outrage of many, including his own coach, Barry Switzer.

After retiring from football due to a shoulder injury in 1989, Bosworth pursued a career in acting. He landed roles in films including the 1991 action film "Stone Cold" and the 2005 Adam Sandler movie remake "The Longest Yard." His acting career also includes appearances in Christian films "Revelation Road" and "Revelation Road 2" in 2013, as well as in the Pure Flix film "Do You Believe?" alongside actors like Mira Sorvino and Sean Astin. Bosworth was featured in the ESPN "30 for 30" documentary "Brian and The Boz," which aired in 2014.

Bosworth has also ventured into sports broadcasting, working as a color commentator for the XFL in 2001 and as a college football studio analyst for Turner Sports on TBS from 2002 until 2003. He has continued to make appearances in media and entertainment, including a role in "Hell's Kitchen" as a dining guest and in commercials with former NFL players. He currently resides in Austin, TX with his wife, Morgan, and three children.
