Brian David Johnson has a comprehensive background in futuristic studies and practical applications. Formerly serving as the chief futurist at Intel Corporation, he was tasked with developing an actionable vision for computing in 2020, an approach he termed "future casting." His methodology combined ethnographic field studies, technology research, trend data, and science fiction to provide a practical vision of future technologies and their impact on consumers. Alongside his work in future casting, Johnson has been instrumental in pioneering developments in artificial intelligence and robotics. Johnson's innovative use of science fiction as a design tool has been a significant aspect of his work, influencing various sectors including government, military, and startup enterprises.
