Brian O’Keefe is the Senior Executive Editor at Fortune, overseeing Fortune's most ambitious long-form storytelling across platforms as well as the production of the print magazine. He previously served as Acting Editor-in-Chief and Deputy Editor. In his two decades at Fortune, he has reported stories on six continents. O'Keefe has written and edited numerous cover- and award-winning stories on a range of topics—from finance to commodities to technology—and guides editorial coverage of the Fortune 500 and Global 500.
O'Keefe is a frequent moderator at a range of Fortune live media events. He is currently an editorial co-chair of Fortune's Brainstorm Tech, Brainstorm Design, and Brainstorm A.I. conferences.
In his years at Fortune, Brian has traveled to China to study the rise of U.S. brands, to Australia to report on an iron ore boom, to Brazil to write about the fast-growing offshore oil and gas industry, and to West Africa for an award-winning investigation of Big Chocolate's child labor problem.
