Brian Skahan is a founding partner at Said Differently. His experience combines technology, design, and strategy. Over the course of twenty years in digital platform, product development, and advertising, he has had the opportunity to work at the forefront of digital transformation.
Skahan has helped organizations transition through generations of technology, from initial experiments and innovations to mission critical teams and platforms. His experience has spanned design, technology, product & organizational design, and business strategy. His recent experience focuses on using automation to build more effective teams and integrating retail and e-commerce into connected commerce experiences.
Prior to serving as the Managing Director of AKQA’s Portland office, Skahan was the first software engineer at Crispin Porter & Bogusky. He led the development of enterprise software practices while becoming the agency’s first non-art and copy creative director. As creative lead, he led the development of American Express OPEN Forum and helped create Small Business Saturday, the first official holiday dedicated to small business and one of the most awarded campaigns of the year.
