Bruce Arians Biography
Bruce Ariis an American football executive for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL) and a former head coach. He announced his retirement from coaching on March 30, 2022 and would be subsequently moving to the front office operations for the upcoming season. He led them to a Super Bowl title in Super Bowl LV, his second season with the team. At age 68, he is the oldest head coach to win a Super Bowl. During his career he was a head coach for eight seasons, first with the Arizona Cardinals for five seasons.
Arians was born in Paterson, New Jersey, and he began his career playing football in high school before going on to play college football at Virginia Tech where he held the school record for most QB rushing touchdowns in a season. After graduating, Arians immediately began his career in coaching with Virginia Tech as a graduate assistant. Over the course of his career, Arians has working as a coach for several different colleges and for NFL teams.
Arians has previously been a two-time AP NFL Coach of the Year winner and has been a two-time Super Bowl champion as an assistant coach for the Steelers. Arians has also been a game analyst for CBS Sports.
