Cam Neely

Cam Neely played thirteen years in the NHL, primarily with the Boston Bruins, until a hip injury forced him to retire in August 1996. Throughout his 726-game career, Neely scored 395 goals and made 299 assists, totaling 694 points, along with accumulating 1256 penalty minutes. Recognized as the NHL's first "power forward," Neely skillfully combined finesse with physical play. He was one of only two players in Bruins history to record back-to-back 50-goal seasons and achieved his third 50-goal season in the 1993/94 season. Neely also holds the NHL single-season playoff record for most power play goals.

Neely was acknowledged for his exceptional performance on the ice with several accolades. He was named to The Sporting News All-Star First Team in 1987/88 and to the Second Team in 1989/90 and 1990/91. His dedication and resilience were honored in 1994 when he received the NHL "Bill Masterton Trophy," awarded for perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey.

Off the ice, Neely is highly active in charitable endeavors, particularly through the Neely Foundation, where he serves as President. This foundation focuses on supporting cancer patients and their families. A significant initiative led by the foundation is the Neely House, which opened its doors on August 25, 1997. This facility offers a comforting residential environment for both pediatric and adult cancer patients and their families during treatment at the New England Medical Center in Boston.

In addition to his philanthropic efforts, Neely has also ventured into the entertainment industry. He has appeared in films such as "Monument Ave.", "Dumb and Dumber", "Mighty Ducks II", and "Me, Myself and Irene", and guest-starred on the television show "Beverly Hills 90210".
