Carly Fiorina

Carly Fiorina is a businesswoman and political figure, known primarily for her tenure as CEO of Hewlett-Packard (HP) and for her influential roles in various governmental and non-profit organizations. She was the first woman to lead a Fortune 50 company as the former Chairman and CEO of HP.

As Chief Executive Officer of HP from 1999 to 2005, Fiorina was the first woman to lead a Top 20 company as ranked by Fortune Magazine. In 2002, she oversaw what was then the largest technology sector merger in history, in which HP acquired rival personal computer manufacturer, Compaq, transforming HP into a global leader in technology with doubled revenue to over $80 billion and tripled innovation rates.

Beyond her corporate achievements, Fiorina founded Carly Fiorina Enterprises and the non-profit Unlocking Potential Foundation, both aimed at fostering leadership and problem-solving skills. She has authored best-selling books including "Tough Choices," "Rising to the Challenge," and "Find Your Way," reflecting her extensive experience and thought leadership in overcoming challenges and driving change.

Fiorina served as an advisor to key U.S. departments including Defense and State, and chaired the External Advisory Board of the CIA. She was also the Chair of the philanthropic organizations Good360 and Opportunity International. In 2020, she was elected Chair of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, emphasizing her ongoing commitment to public service and leadership development.

Fiorina was an adviser to Republican Senator John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign. She won the Republican nomination for the United States Senate in California in 2010, although she lost the general election to incumbent Democrat Barbara Boxer. Fiorina ran in the Republican presidential primary in 2016, demonstrating her tenacity and leadership on a national stage. She briefly joined Ted Cruz as his VP pick before he suspended his campaign.

Additionally, Fiorina is a breast cancer survivor, having been diagnosed in 2009 and subsequently undergoing a double mastectomy, showcasing her resilience and advocacy for health issues.
