Celine Cousteau

Céline Cousteau is an environmental activist, international speaker, documentary filmmaker, and author, fervently committed to the essential message of interconnectivity between humans and the natural world. Holding a degree in Psychology and a Masters in Intercultural Relations, Cousteau skillfully integrates storytelling and experiential practices to enhance connections to self, community, and nature.

As the founder of CauseCentric Productions, Cousteau produces impactful, cause-focused content. One of her notable works includes the feature film "Tribes on the Edge," which was created at the request of the Indigenous Peoples of the Vale do Javari in the Brazilian Amazon. This project led her to co-found The Javari Project, an organization dedicated to implementing tangible actions for the Indigenous Peoples of the Javari, focusing on Indigenous and Environmental Health, Biodiversity, Livelihoods, and Education.

Cousteau is proficient in three languages and her extensive career as a speaker includes appearances at prominent venues such as the United Nations and the World Economic Forum. She is currently developing a new podcast titled "Interconnected," which will feature discussions with leaders in diverse fields on today’s most pressing questions, using an interconnected approach to explore the roles we play in crafting solutions.

In 2024, Cousteau will participate in a significant expedition to map the Amazon River from its newly discovered source in Peru to the Atlantic Ocean. Additionally, she serves on the board of directors of the National Aquarium in Baltimore, USA, renowned for its pioneering decision to relocate their dolphins to an ocean sanctuary.

Cousteau's literary contributions include her first book, "Le monde après mon grand-père," published by Editions Fayard, where she explores themes deeply rooted in her family history and personal experiences. Through her work, Cousteau continues to inspire and advocate for a deeper understanding of and respect for our interconnected world.
