Chad Chawanda

Chad Chawanda is the Founder and Executive Chairman of the Size Chunk Group. A Zimbabwean-born entrepreneur, Chawanda began his journey in 2002 at the age of 16 amid the economic collapse of his home country. His breadth of experience, spanning over 20 years, extends across multiple sectors, including the import and export industry throughout Africa. Chawanda's entrepreneurial adventure has been characterized by operating in a Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous (VUCA) business environment.

A notable addition to his professional portfolio is his podcast, "Scix African Trade Talks." Launched in 2020, the podcast serves as a knowledge-sharing platform for doing business in Africa and the Africa Continental Free Trade Area. Quickly gaining recognition, the podcast secured a partnership with the Intra Africa Trade Fair, an initiative of Afreximbank in collaboration with the Africa Continental Free Trade Area and the African Union. It has now reached listeners across six continents and more than 50 countries and is listed as one of the top African business podcasts, with over 130 guests interviewed and episodes published.

Chawanda's endeavors are not limited to his entrepreneurial pursuits. He is also engaged in digital marketing, focusing on establishing a substantial digital presence for his brands and providing employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Having exported over 35,000 tons of varied products to some of the most challenging markets in Africa, Chawanda has set ambitious objectives. He aims to establish businesses across all 55 African Union Member States and develop the first AFCFTA export trading Unicorn, with the potential to employ over 1000 individuals. In addition to these plans, he has founded a trust to foster community building and philanthropy in Africa.
