Charlie Puth

Charlie Puth is a singer, songwriter, and record producer who first gained exposure through the viral success of his song covers on YouTube. After his appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," he signed with Atlantic Records in 2015 and released his debut single, "Marvin Gaye," which featured Meghan Trainor. Additionally, he collaborated with Wiz Khalifa on the single "See You Again," which achieved significant success, reaching number one on the US Billboard Hot 100.

Puth's debut studio album, "Nine Track Mind," was released in 2016, and included the successful single "One Call Away." This album reached number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, and topped charts in New Zealand, the Republic of Ireland, and the United Kingdom. He continued to make waves in the music industry with his second album, "Voicenotes," released in 2018, which debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200.

In 2019, Puth released a series of singles, including "I Warned Myself," "Mother," and "Cheating on You." Subsequently, he released his third studio album, "Charlie," in 2022. Apart from his solo work, Puth has also collaborated with other artists: he co-wrote and produced the single "Stay" for Justin Bieber and The Kid Laroi in 2021, was featured on Calvin Harris's single "Obsessed" in 2022, and collaborated with South Korean singer Jimin and American singers Jvke and Muni Long on the song "Angel Pt. 2" for the Fast X (2023) soundtrack.

Puth's educational background includes attending the Manhattan School of Music Pre-College, where he studied jazz piano, and graduating from the Berklee School of Music in Boston in 2013 after majoring in music production and engineering. In his personal life, Puth is an advocate against bullying, having experienced severe bullying in high school.

Over the years, Puth has received numerous nominations and awards for his work, including three Grammy nominations for "See You Again," which was also shortlisted for the Song of the Year for the BBC Music Awards and the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song. Other accolades include winning the Critics' Choice Award for Best Song for "See You Again," the People's Choice Award for Favorite Male Artist in 2022, and the Hollywood Music in Media Award. He was also recognized in the IFPI Global Year-End Charts as Artist of the Year in 2022.
