Charlotte Stallings

Charlotte Stallings is the President and CEO of Getting Smart! LLC, a professional speaking, training, and consulting firm that shows people how to get smart about money, selling, and success. As a motivational keynote speaker, she often opens and closes conferences and events, aiming to boost morale and inspire attendees.

A former Vice President of Investment Strategies at Ameriprise Financial, Stallings developed a national initiative specifically providing investment and financial planning advice to women. She served as the firm's National Spokesperson on Women and Investing Issues. Stallings built her expertise in business—sales, marketing, and leadership—during her tenure at US Banks, Xerox, and over 20 years at American Express. Her practical experience is coupled with her ability to share complex business and investment concepts in an understandable way. She holds Series 7 and 63 NASD securities licenses and earned a bachelor's degree in business and communications from the University of Minnesota.

Stallings is the author of "I Wish Someone Had Told Me: Financial Lessons Learned the Hard Way," published in December 2012, which encourages open discussions about money to make wise decisions. She is a weekly in-studio guest on Houston's FOX26 ‘Your Money’ segment and has made appearances on CNN and other national and regional media outlets. A member of the National Speakers Association, Stallings also serves on the Board of Directors for the Houston NSA Chapter. She resides in Houston, Texas, with her husband and young daughter. Her speaking topics include Women, Sales, Motivation, Success, Leadership, Peak Performance, Presentation Skills, and Finance/Banking. In 2010, she was recognized by The Steed Society and Comerica Bank as one of the Top 25 Women of Houston.
