Chen Jin

Dr. Chen Jin, a distinguished professor in the Department of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Strategy at the renowned Tsinghua SEM, is a man of prestige and academic acuity. His prolific academic journey began at Zhejiang University, where he procured his Bachelor's degree in chemical process control in 1989 and, later, a Ph.D. in Management Engineering in 1994. Prior to joining Tsinghua SEM, he served with commendable dedication as the Executive Vice Dean of the Undergraduate School and the Chu Kechen Honors College.

Recognized for his exceptional contributions to the field of management sciences, Dr. Chen Jin has received multiple awards, including the Special Government Allowance from the State Council of China, the esteemed Huo Yingdong Youth Teacher Prize, and the "Young University Teachers Award" from the Ministry of Education of China. His academic prowess was further validated when he received the Outstanding Youth Fund in 2002 from the National Science Foundation of China. His expertise lies primarily in the management of technological innovation, a subject upon which he has carried out extensive research and teaching.

A testament to his academic influence, Dr. Chen Jin has held several prominent positions, such as being a member of the Education Committee of CAE (the Chinese Academy of Engineering), a member of the Division of Management Science in the Council for Technology and Science of the Minister of Education, and the vice chairman of the Chinese Association for Science of Science and S&T Policy. Notably, he has contributed to the dissemination of knowledge by serving as the chief editor of "The Journal of Knowledge-based Innovation in China" and "The Review of Evolutionary Economics and Economics of Innovation" and has published in excess of 600 articles in various international journals and conference proceedings.
