Chet McDoniel

On January 5th, 1980, Chet McDoniel was born with no arms and shortened legs. From the beginning, his parents committed to raising him with the same expectations and opportunities as any other child. This foundation helped him develop a resilient and positive mindset, which he believes is the secret to enjoying life fully.

Chet McDoniel graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Texas in 2002, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio, Television, and Film production. Beyond academia, he established his own business, Off to Neverland Travel – Disney Vacations. McDoniel, along with his wife Joni and daughter Hannah, reside in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area. His professional journey began in earnest in 2007 when he started his career focusing on Christian and youth speaking engagements.

McDoniel is a motivational speaker renowned for his ability to inspire audiences through personal narratives and practical insights on happiness, the inherent value of life, and overcoming great challenges. His keynotes, such as "I’m Not Broken: You Don’t Need Arms to be Happy," are crafted for diverse settings including corporate and educational environments. Other notable presentations include "You Don’t Need Arms to be a Great Student" and "You Don’t Need Arms to be a Christian," aimed at addressing bullying and enhancing faith, respectively.
