Chris Boswell

Chris Boswell, a professional football placekicker, began his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL) in 2015. His early career was marked with significant achievements, such as being named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week multiple times and setting an NFL record for the most field goals by a rookie in a playoff game. In addition, Boswell holds the franchise record for most consecutive games scoring at least 10 points and the most field goals made by a rookie or first-year player with the Steelers. His performance earned him a five-year contract with the Steelers in 2018, and he was named a team captain the same year.

Boswell continued to make his mark in the following years, breaking the Heinz Field field goal record in 2021 and signing a four-year contract extension with the Steelers in 2022. Despite being placed on injured reserve due to a groin injury in November 2022, he returned to the field in December of the same year. In the 2023 season, Boswell appeared in all 17 regular season games, converting nearly all of his extra point and field goal attempts. His performance in September 2024, where he converted all six of his field goal attempts, earned him the title of AFC Special Teams Player of the Week and the Player of the Month.

Boswell's career continued to soar in 2024 when he converted all six of his field goals for the third time in his career, leading to an 18–16 win over the Baltimore Ravens. His continued success led to him breaking the Steelers' franchise record for most field goals in a single season in the same year. Recognizing his skills and contributions, he was named to his second Pro Bowl in January 2025. He finished the 2024 season with a near-perfect record, converting all 35 extra point attempts and 41 of his 44 field goal attempts.
