Chris C. Kemp is the founder, chairman and CEO of Astra Space, a space technology firm, where he leads Astra’s overall strategy. He previously served as Chief Technology Officer of NASA and founded OpenStack, an open-source software project for cloud computing. He was also one of the founders of Nebula, a company that from 2011 to 2015, worked to commercialize the technology.At NASA, he partnered with Google and Microsoft, helped create Google Moon and Mars, and worked with the White House to develop the cloud computing strategy for the U.S. federal government.
