Chris Gibson

Chris Gibson is a military leader with 34 years of leadership experience and currently serves as a special advisor to the Ministry of Justice as a Leadership and Cultural Advisor. He has led specialist military operations in locations such as Beirut, Sarajevo, Sierra Leone, Zaire, Uganda, and Algeria, including the Close Protection operation in the Middle East during the 2nd Gulf War. His significant contributions to international healthcare, particularly through his leadership in combating the Ebola virus in West Africa, have been recognized with awards such as the MBE and The Health Service Journal Special Recognition Award.

Gibson is also a notable public speaker on topics of leadership and innovation, drawing from his extensive experience in military contexts to provide insights applicable to various organizational settings. His work includes developing training and assurance methodologies for hospital care that have been adopted as best practices internationally, as well as advising professional sporting teams and business groups on translating military leadership principles into successful business strategies.

In his current role, Gibson continues to influence a broad range of sectors by applying his expertise in leadership. His innovative approaches, such as the development and delivery of a training model for military and NHS volunteers to fight the Ebola Virus Disease, demonstrate his commitment to impactful leadership and change. As a graduate of NHS Staff College and holding a postgraduate award in Medical Simulation Management from Harvard University, Gibson integrates academic knowledge with real-world applications to enhance organizational performance and healthcare delivery systems globally.
