In 2018, Jones made his mark in the NFL records, achieving a streak of 11 consecutive games with a sack.

His dedication to the Chiefs was exemplified when he held out for a contract extension in 2023, which resulted in a new one-year contract with the team. That same year, Chris Jones proved instrumental in the Chiefs' victory in Super Bowl LVIII.
