Chris Rowland, PhD Biography
Chris Rowland is an energy economist with expertise throughout the oil, gas, and renewables value chains, most recently as the Chief Economist for the nation’s largest refining company (MPC). He has over a decade of experience researching and working in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on transportation fuel demand and the trends, policies, and technologies with which the transportation industry continuously evolves. Throughout his time in industry, Chris has generated several peer reviewed publications and technical studies related to fuel policy and transportation technology. Chris has also accurately forecasted important shifts in energy and transportation markets as well as impacts of new policies on pricing and demand. Chris has a PhD in economics and a master’s in industrial engineering from Texas A&M.
