Chris Spielman

Chris Spielman is an All-Star linebacker from Massillon, Ohio, and a two-time All-American and Lombardi Trophy winner from The Ohio State University. Following his collegiate success, Spielman had an impactful 11-year career in the NFL with the Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills, and the Cleveland Browns, earning four Pro Bowl selections. His professional football career concluded in 1999 due to a neck injury.

Following his retirement, Spielman transitioned to sports broadcasting. He began his broadcasting career in 1999 with Fox Sports Net, transitioning to ESPN in 2001 as a college football analyst. Over the years, he has covered the Detroit Lions in preseason games, hosted a reality series on ESPNU, and had his own sports talk radio show. Currently, Spielman works as an analyst for Fox Sports, covering the NFL.

Spielman was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2009. Beyond his professional pursuits, he serves as a Special Assistant for the Detroit Lions and engages in community activities. His profound personal challenges, including his role as a Cancer Warrior following his late wife Stefanie's diagnosis, have deeply influenced his life and work. In 2013, he married Carrie Yocom, who brought two daughters, Kendra and Gina, into the family. Spielman's commitment to faith, family, and community remains steadfast and shapes his daily life.
