Christian Stadil

The owner and chairman of global fashion brand hummel International, Christian Stadil is also owner or part owner of businesses in real estate, shipping, technology, and food sectors. Stadil also serves on various boards, including trade organization Danish Fashion & Textile and Smartguy, the largest Danish online fashion retailer. He is and was a member of a number of think tanks, including the global culture forum Co-existence of Civilizations, which he co-founded following the Muhammad cartoon crisis, as well as the High Performance Institute, Creative Nation, and the International Think Tank for the branding of Denmark.

Stadil has been recognized with several awards including the Global Style award by GQ in 2007; the most prestigious marketing award in Denmark, the HBH/Copenhagen Business School Marketing Award in 2005; and was named the Junior Chamber International Most Outstanding Young Person of the Year in 2005. He has also served on various judging panels, including at the COP15 climate summit.

Stadil lectures internationally on his company philosophy "Company Karma," which is also the title of his book co-authored with Sten Hildebrandt. His company, hummel, has established football schools in Sierra Leone and sponsors the national team, further emphasizing the role of sports as a unifying and developmental tool in challenging environments.
