Christine M. Day is co-founder of House of LR&C that lists Russell Wilson, Ciara and Day as co-founders. Day is one of about 20 principal investors.
She joined the Richmond-based healthy-meal company Luvo. She expanded sales and rebranded the company Performance Kitchen. She describes Performance Kitchen as a “food-as-medicine” company, because its tailored meals are designed for people who have hypertension, heart disease and other health conditions. U.S. insurance companies subsidize the cost of some Performance Kitchen meals for some patients. Russell Wilson heard about Performance Kitchen and wanted to get involved in part because his father died in 2010 due to complications from diabetes.
Day was at the helm of the Canadian clothing company, Lululemon Athletica. Day's tenure at Lululemon was marked by significant expansion of the brand's presence and a boost in profitability. She was instrumental in transforming Lululemon from a niche yoga-wear brand into a global athletic apparel leader, with a particular focus on refining product lines and improving the supply chain.
Before that, she was an executive at Starbucks.
