Chuck Lorre

Chuck Lorre is an American television producer, writer, director, and composer. Known for creating popular sitcoms such as "Two and a Half Men," "The Big Bang Theory," "Mom," and "Young Sheldon," Lorre's work has had a profound impact on popular culture. Notably, he began his career as a guitarist and songwriter, even penning the song "French Kissin'". This musical background would later weave its way into his television work, as he co-wrote the soundtrack for the 1987 series "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and composed theme songs for some of his own shows.

Lorre's shows have consistently received critical acclaim and numerous awards. His series, "Grace Under Fire," was nominated for Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy at the 52nd Golden Globe Awards. "Cybill," another of his sitcoms, won a Primetime Emmy Award and two Golden Globe Awards. His knack for creating engaging and entertaining television shows continued with "Dharma & Greg," which received eight Golden Globe nominations and six Emmy Award nominations. "The Big Bang Theory," another Lorre creation, became the highest-rated comedy series in the United States, and his show "The Kominsky Method" won him a Golden Globe Award. Lorre's unique vanity cards, which appear at the end of every episode of his productions, have become so well-known that they were published in a coffee table book titled "What Doesn't Kill Us Makes Us Bitter."

He had a high-profile feud with actor Charlie Sheen. He was inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame, and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
