Claire Curzan

Hailing from Raleigh, NC, Claire Curzan is an American butterfly, backstroke, and freestyle swimmer. As a rising high school senior, Curzan won a silver medal at the 2021 Tokyo Summer Olympics as a member of the 4×100 medley relay. Shortly after, Curzan signed her first NIL sponsorship deal with TYR.

At the 2024 World Aquatics Championships in Doha, Qatar, Curzan took home six medals (four gold, one silver, and one bronze), becoming the second female swimmer in history to win all three backstroke events (50M, 100M, 200M) at a single World Championships and earning her the Best Female Swimmer award at the event.

In 2022, she followed up her Olympic debut by winning five World Championship Long Course medals (two golds) in Budapest and seven World Championship Short Course medals (two golds) in Melbourne, including two World Record-breaking swims.

Curzan holds the American record for the short course 50m butterfly and 50m backstroke, has four World Junior Records, and was named the 2022 USA Today Female High School Athlete of the Year. Curzan began her collegiate swim and academic career in 2022 at Stanford University, winning five medals at the Pac-12 Championships and a National Championship in the 500 m backstroke at the 2023 NCAA Championships. Following her freshman year, Curzan transferred to the University of Virginia to continue her collegiate career and Olympic training.
