Clive Owen

Clive Owen is a British film, stage, and television actor and producer known for "Closer," "Children of Men," "Gosford Park," "Sin City," and "Monsieur Spade."

His distinguished career has marked him as a versatile force in both film and theatre. Owen’s performances have earned him critical acclaim, most notably for his role in the 2004 film "Closer", which garnered him a Golden Globe and a BAFTA Award, as well as an Academy Award nomination. His other notable roles include his performance in the HBO production "Hemingway & Gellhorn", which earned him a Primetime Emmy Award nomination, and his portrayal of President Bill Clinton in the third season of "American Crime Story". In 2019, Owen took to the West End theatre stage to play the role of defrocked Reverend T. Lawrence Shannon in Tennessee Williams' "The Night of the Iguana" at the Noël Coward Theatre. His theatrical flourish is furthermore demonstrated by his performance in "M. Butterfly" at the Cort Theatre on Broadway and his starring role in "The Night of the Iguana" at the Noël Coward Theatre in the West End.

Apart from his acting prowess, Owen has also been recognized for his contribution to film and television as a producer. He served as an executive producer for the TV series "The Knick" and the upcoming series "Monsieur Spade".
