Colby Donaldson’s unique and authentic presence has been sought after in the film and television industry for over two decades. His strategic savvy and physical prowess made him a force to be reckoned with, cementing his status as one of the most memorable contestants in Survivor history.

Expanding his horizons beyond “Survivor”, Donaldson ventured into the world of television hosting and production. He took on the role of television host for History Channel shows such as "Alone", "The Butcher", and “Mountain men: Ultimate Marksman” where he demonstrated his ability to connect with audiences and draw them into the compelling stories unfolding before their eyes. As the host and producer of History Channel's hit series "Top Shot," Donaldson showcased his passion for marksmanship and firearms, guiding contestants through intense challenges that tested their precision, speed, and mental fortitude. His charismatic presence and natural authenticity bring amazing energy to the screen, making him a beloved figure among viewers. “Top Shot” was given a spin-off series that that Donaldson hosted and produced as well called “Top Guns”. In addition to the 5 History Channel shows, he was the co-host of the “The Rachael Ray Show” for 2 years and hosted a series called “American Thunder”.

Born and raised in rural West Texas, Donaldson is the fourth generation of working ranch family. To this day, he proudly operates the cattle and goat operation on the same land that his greatgrandfather acquired in 1928.

After college and before being chosen to compete on Survivor, Donaldson decided to become a welder/fabricator and open a small hot rod restoration shop near his hometown to pursue a passion of his. He continued to hone those fabrication skills throughout his time in television and today owns and operates a design and fabrication business in Austin, Texas.
