Cole Hocker

Cole Hocker, a middle- and long-distance runner, has made significant strides in his career, specializing in the 1500 meters. Hocker's dedication and skill were recognized globally at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, where he clinched the gold medal for the 1500 meters, setting an Olympic and North American area record with a stunning 3:27.65. Further proving his prowess, Hocker secured multiple national titles in the 1500 meters and the 3000 meters and won a silver medal in the 1500 meters at the 2024 World Athletics Indoor Championships.

Hocker's journey to professional athletics began at the University of Oregon, where he competed and won four NCAA titles. His performance attracted the attention of Nike, leading him to turn professional in 2021. His personal bests are notable and include the 800 m at 1:45.63, 1500 m at 3:27.65, Mile at 3:48.08, 3000 m at 7:42.93, and 5000 m at 12:58.82. His track record further includes winning the 1500 meters at the 2021 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships, placing 6th in the 1500 meters at the 2020 Olympic Games, and setting a meeting record in the 1500m at the 2024 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships. Hocker is not only the seventh-fastest 1500-meter runner in history but also the first to win the United States a gold medal in the event since 2016.
