Cristin Milioti

Cristin Milioti is a versatile actress and singer known for her work on stage, television, and film. Growing up with a love for performing, she pursued her passion for acting at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts before launching her professional career. Her unique ability to balance emotion and humor quickly made her a notable performer in the entertainment industry.

Milioti’s breakout role came in the Broadway musical "Once," where her portrayal of "Girl" earned her a Tony Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical in 2012, and she also won the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album in 2013. Her heartfelt performance and musical talent captivated audiences and proved her prowess in theater. Milioti’s contribution to the cast album also earned her a Grammy Award in 2013, further affirming her skills as an accomplished performer.

On television, Milioti gained widespread recognition for her role as Tracy McConnell, also known as "The Mother," in the final season of the CBS sitcom "How I Met Your Mother" from 2013 to 2014. Her character’s charm and chemistry with the ensemble cast were pivotal in the show’s long-awaited resolution. Following this, Milioti exhibited her versatility in the second season of the FX series "Fargo," the HBO crime drama series "The Penguin"–for which she earned a Golden Globe nomination–and the HBO Max series "Made for Love" where she played the main role of Hazel Green. In 2022, she also starred in the Peacock comedy mystery series "The Resort" as Emma Reed.

In film, Milioti has delivered memorable performances in projects such as "The Wolf of Wall Street" and the romantic sci-fi comedy "Palm Springs," the latter earning her the Critics' Choice Super Awards for Best Actress in a Science Fiction/Fantasy Movie. As of 2025, Milioti is set to play Iris McHenry in "Hit-Monkey" and reprise her role as Sofia Falcone in "The Penguin." Outside of her acting career, Milioti is involved in advocacy with PETA, particularly promoting pet adoption, and released a cover of Bon Iver's "715 Creeks" in 2021.
