Cydney Kaplan

Cydney Kaplan, a magician specializing in close-up magic, is known for her ability to engage and entertain audience members with her sleight of hand and sharp wit. Performing close-up magic directly into the hands of her spectators, Kaplan reads their minds and wows them with impossible feats, such as calling a stranger and having that person name the playing card that the audience just selected. Aside from her magic, Kaplan is passionate about working with differently-abled people. She taught herself the American Sign Language alphabet at the age of seven, laying the foundation for what has grown to be a lifelong passion and career. Kaplan is a Certified Recreation Therapist and is considered an expert in the field of cognitive brain fitness and neuroplasticity. She conducts presentations on Brain Fitness and is passionate about the importance of building and maintaining brain fitness. Kaplan also uses her magic to help others, performing weekly magic shows for hospitalized psychiatric patients and volunteering with the Magic Castle outreach program.

Kaplan is a regular performer at the prestigious Magic Castle in Hollywood and a member of the Magic Circle in London. She has demonstrated her magic skills in various settings, including private parties, fundraisers, corporate meetings, and walk-around magic performances. She also has the ability to perform over Zoom for different audiences. Kaplan's excellence in magic has earned her recognition among her peers, and in 2021, she was a finalist for the International Brotherhood of Magicians Close Up Magician of the Year.
