Dallas Arcand

Dallas Arcand Jr. is an accomplished second-generation hoop dancer and aboriginal entertainer from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. From an early age, he has showcased his talents in front of large audiences, including a notable performance at the Calgary Stampede Rodeo halftime show where he performed alongside his father, three-time World Champion Dallas Arcand Sr.

Arcand attended the Victoria School of the Performing Arts in 2010, where he deepened his understanding of music and performing arts. In 2012, he graced an international stage, performing at the London Olympics with Canadian musician Corb Lund. His artistic journey continued as he competed in the World Champion Hoop Dance Contest in 2016, securing the 12th position globally.

A self-taught musician, Arcand is proficient in playing the flute, guitar, piano, and drums. His musical talents have led him to produce music, primarily focusing on hip hop projects currently underway in Edmonton. He has released two solo CDs, "Moonshadows" in July 2018 and "Coyote and Raven" in February 2019, which illustrate his versatility and commitment to his craft.

Arcand's performances feature a cedar flute performance, a World Championship Hoop Dance, and a motivational speech on Native culture. These performances are enhanced by a professionally mixed CD that allows him to integrate speaking, flute playing, and dancing with the accompaniment of a traditional drum group. His shows not only entertain but also educate audiences on the philosophies and concepts of Native culture, making each appearance a profound experience.
