Dan Cobley Biography
Dan Cobley spent 8 years at Google, managing European marketing and then heading the $5Bn UK and Ireland business. Since leaving Google, he has become a successful entrepreneur and investor, co-founding companies including "ClearScore," "Salary Finance," "Koodoo Mortgages," "OpenWrks," and serving on the boards of "Liberis," "Modulr," and "Tully." Cobley is the managing partner for fintech at Europe's leading Venture Builder, Blenheim Chalcot.
He is a regular keynote speaker at various conferences, addressing topics such as fintech, technology, innovation, and Google’s unique approach to business. Cobley is also an accomplished moderator, interviewer, and after-dinner speaker. In addition, he has served as a technology commentator on BBC’s "Tomorrow’s World" and assisted Alan Sugar in choosing his 2014 Apprentice.
Cobley has shared his insights on Physics and Marketing at the TED conference, reaching over 1.5 million people online. His contributions to technology and innovation have been recognized extensively; he was ranked number three in Wired UK's top 100 list in 2012, and was listed among the Maserati 100 Innovators of the Year in 2018 and Business Insider’s top 100 Innovators in 2019.
