Dan Mullen

One of the most creative offensive minds in college football and former National Coach of the Year, Dan Mullen was one of the most successful coaches in the Southeastern Conference for 13 seasons. His coaching career includes significant achievements such as securing the SEC Coach of the Year in 2014, receiving the George Munger Award in the same year, and leading the Florida Gators to a 10-win season in his first year. He has served as a college football studio and game analyst for ESPN since 2022 and is also a college football contributor for SiriusXM. He also volunteered as a "contributing resource" for the Lake Oconee Academy Titans in 2022.

In 2024, it was announced that Mullen would return to coaching in 2025 as the head coach at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Previously, Mullen served as the head coach at the University of Florida from 2018 until 2021, leading the team to notable successes, including a victory in the Peach Bowl. In 2019, he also led the Florida Gators to a win in the Orange Bowl. His time with the Gators ended before the final regular-season game in 2021. Prior to his time with the Gators, he was the head coach at Mississippi State University from 2009 to 2017. During his tenure with the Mississippi State Bulldogs, they achieved a No. 1 ranking in 2014 and a 10–2 record, leading to an appearance in the Orange Bowl. His time at Mississippi State was also marked by multiple bowl game appearances, and he became the second-winningest coach in the school's history. In 2016, Mullen made SEC history by being the first football coach to win a bowl game despite finishing the season with a losing record.

Before his head coach positions, he was an assistant coach for the Florida Gators during their 2006 and 2008 national championship seasons. He was instrumental in the team's success, leading to two BCS National Championships and two SEC Championships in those years. Mullen's innovative approach to offense and the spread offense has led him to be known as The Quarterback Whisperer. He has successfully coached and developed iconic signal callers, such as Dak Prescott, Alex Smith, and Tim Tebow, among others.

Mullen has also served on the AFCA Board of Trustees and the NCAA College Football Oversight Committee.
