Dan Patrick

Daniel Patrick Pugh, known professionally as Dan Patrick, is an American sportscaster, radio personality, and actor from Mason, Ohio. He hosts "The Dan Patrick Show" broadcast on radio and on television on NBCSN as well as "The Audience Network" for DIRECTV subscribers. He also co-hosts NBC's "Football Night in America" and serves as a senior writer for "Sports Illustrated". He worked at ESPN for 18 years, where he often anchored the weeknight and Sunday 11 p.m. edition of "SportsCenter".

Patrick was an anchor on ESPN's "SportsCenter" (1989–2006). He also hosted "The Dan Patrick Show" on ESPN Radio from September 13, 1999, to August 17, 2007. During his tenure at ESPN, he served as the primary host of "SportsCentury" and was named National Sportscaster of the Year in January 2000 by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association. Additionally, Patrick received a Sports Emmy Award in 1998 in the Studio Host category and a CableACE Award in 1997 for his work on SportsCenter.

In addition to his broadcasting career, Patrick is a published author, having released a book titled "Outtakes" in May 2000, which expands on his column of the same name in ESPN The Magazine. Having earned a bachelor of arts degree in broadcasting from the University of Dayton, he was honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award from the university in 1997. After leaving ESPN, Patrick announced on July 9, 2007, on his radio show his departure from ESPN/ABC effective August 16, 2007. "Sports Illustrated" announced in October 2007 that Patrick would become the magazine's senior writer. On July 7, 2008, it was announced Patrick would join NBC Sports as a co-host of the third season of Football Night in America with former "SportsCenter" co-anchor Keith Olbermann every Sunday night during the NFL season. They host a series of highlights on the show and a segment called "The Little Big Show" with the day's top NFL plays.

On April 29, 2014, it was announced that Patrick would host "Sports Jeopardy!", a sports-themed version of "Jeopardy!" shown on Crackle. The series debuted on September 24, 2014, and featured special guest Alex Trebek reading out the Final Jeopardy! clue in the third episode.
