Dana White

Dana White is an American businessman and the current President of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), which is the largest mixed martial arts organization in the world. Under White's leadership, the UFC has grown into a globally popular multibillion-dollar enterprise. As of August 2019, White's net worth was estimated at $500 million. In addition to his role at UFC, White is a co-founder and owner of "Power Slap," a slap fighting competition that debuted in January 2023, broadcast on the digital streaming platform Rumble.

White moved to Las Vegas in the late 1990s to become a boxercise instructor and martial arts coach under John Lewis. While managing MMA fighters Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell, White met Bob Meyrowitz, owner of Semaphore Entertainment Group, the parent company of the UFC. Learning that Meyrowitz was looking to sell the UFC, White and childhood friend Lorenzo Fertitta, an executive at Station Casinos, acquired the UFC for $2 million in January 2001. In April 2023, under White's stewardship, the UFC merged with WWE to form TKO Group Holdings, with White serving as CEO.

Since acquiring the UFC, White has transformed it into a highly successful business, grossing $600 million in 2015. In 2016, White confirmed the sale of UFC to WME/IMG, but remained with the company, signing a new seven-year contract to coincide with UFC's deal with ESPN. In 2021, White added to his portfolio as an executive producer of "The Ultimate Surfer," a surfing competition series on ABC, and in 2022, he became a co-owner of Thrill One Sports & Entertainment. White announced plans to re-enter boxing promotion, aiming to be fully involved by 2025.

Beyond his business ventures, White is a current member of the board at Meta Platforms and has been recognized with multiple awards, including the World MMA Awards' Leading Man of the Year from 2008 to 2024 and Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Promoter of the Year multiple times between 2005 and 2016. He has also been philanthropically active, donating to various causes such as the Las Vegas shooting victims in 2017, Dustin Poirier's charity, and The Good Fight Foundation.
