Daniel Cormier Biography
Daniel Cormier is one of the most decorated fighters in UFC history. A former two-division world champion, he held the heavyweight and light heavyweight world championships simultaneously. Beyond his achievements in the UFC, Cormier is recognized as a six-time U.S. World or Olympic Team wrestler, highlighting his extensive wrestling credentials before transitioning full-time to mixed martial arts.
He currently serves as the head wrestling coach at Gilroy High School, a position he has held since the summer of 2018. In addition to his coaching duties, Cormier is also a UFC broadcast analyst, contributing his expertise and insights into the sport on a regular basis.
Cormier made his film debut in 2014, playing himself in the comedy "Mantervention." He continued to make appearances in various media, starring in the videoclip "All About That Cake" in February 2015, a parody to promote the 2015 World MMA Awards. In January 2018, he appeared in an episode of "Sneaker Shopping" on the YouTube channel Complex. Following this, in February 2019, he featured in "Sub-Zero's Head Shatter," the first episode of the YouTube series "The Science of Mortal Kombat" by Because Science. Cormier is known for being a dedicated fan of the New Orleans Saints and professional wrestling.
