Darante' LaMar Martin

Darante' LaMar Martin is a dynamic communicator and former pastor who has transformed from serving megachurches to becoming a vocal advocate for helping others regain their autonomy, maximize their capacity and accept the rewarding responsibility to successfully navigate life using reason, secularism and humanism as a guide. With a background that includes counseling, coaching and consulting as both pastor and professional, LaMar Martin brings a comprehensive understanding of the inner workings of growth and development and the positive impact individual growth can have on the world. And with extensive experience with community organization and corporate leadership, he also’ brings a holistic approach to the inner workings of organizations and the unique relationships they have with individuals and communities.

Currently, LaMar Martin serves as the co-founder of DLDD World Group - a nonprofit committed to people-centric progress, projects, and programs, such as The Bridge, Sunday Sessions, Bible Study With An X-Pastor, Group Therapy and The X-Pastor Call-In Show. He is the author of four published books: Significant, Parenting on Purpose, Memphis: The Last Supper and Christ Held Up as well as four upcoming books, Making The Jump, Give Me Freedom, Memphis: The Second Dawn and The Case for Religion.

His unique journey from faith to skepticism and his unapologetic appeal for building secular community has resonated with many, evidenced by the rapid growth of his organization and platforms. LaMar Martin has shared the virtual stage with well-known figures in the secular community, including Seth Andrews, Jimmy Snow, Mandisa Thomas, and Dr. Darrel Ray. He has been featured on the Atheist Community of Austin's shows, such as "Truth Wanted," "Talk Heathen," and "The Atheist Experience," where he has discussed his journey and the challenges of transitioning from a religious leader to a secular advocate.
