David A.R. White is a storyteller by nature. He tells many stories through his acting, producing and filmmaking. White has been building his career in the film industry for more than 25 years.
As a founding partner of Pure Flix in 2005 and with many credits to his name, White's career hit new heights in 2014 with the release of the Pure Flix film God's Not Dead, which he also starred. It became one of the Top 10 most successful films of all time, based on its ROI, making his studio, Pure Flix, the most successful Faith and Family production and distribution company in the industry.
White was raised in a small Mennonite farming town outside of Dodge City, Kansas. At the age of 19, he moved to Los Angeles and within 6 months landed a role for close to 4 years on the top 10 television and Emmy award winning show "Evening Shade with Burt Reynolds."
White went on to quickly build a successful career as an actor, producer and movie mogul. White's first book, "Between Heaven and Hollywood: Chasing Your God-Given Dreams" was released by Zondervan/Harper Collins. It gives audiences a more complete, wide-reaching picture of how his dreams worked through his life in pursuit of his filmmaking in an ever changing culture. For White, the dreams we have, give a person their highest calling they can receive.
In 2020 White's SVOD Company Pure Flix was acquired by Sony. White's new company Pinnacle Peak Pictures now has a first look deal with PureFlix/Sony and makes between 6-10 productions a year.
