David Faber Biography
David Faber, an award-winning journalist and New York Times best-selling author, is a co-anchor of CNBC's "Squawk on the Street" and an anchor and co-producer of CNBC's acclaimed original documentaries and long-form programming. He also breaks news and provides in depth analysis on a range of business topics for the network during his "Faber Report."
In his more than two decades at the network, Faber has broken many big financial stories including Disney's deal to buy most of Twenty-First Century Fox's assets, the massive fraud at WorldCom and Rupert Murdoch's unsolicited bid for Dow Jones. He has also reported 10 documentaries for CNBC for which he has received Loeb, Emmy, Peabody and duPont awards.
Faber joined CNBC in 1993 after seven years at Institutional Investor, where he covered corporate finance and global equity markets. He is the author of "The Faber Report" and "And Then the Roof Caved In." He holds a bachelor's degree in English from Tufts University.
