David H. Langstaff

David H. Langstaff has a diverse and substantial background in leadership roles, both in the business sector and in community-focused organizations. As the Executive Vice President of the Leadership Division at The Aspen Institute, Langstaff oversees several key programs, including the Aspen Global Leadership Network, Leadership Seminars, the Office of Curriculum and Moderators, and Weave: The Social Fabric Project. In addition, his experience as a moderator of values-based leadership seminars and his long-standing role as advisory board chair of the Aspen Business and Society Program spans over 25 years, attesting to his enduring commitment to leadership development.

Prior to his tenure at The Aspen Institute, Langstaff held significant positions in the corporate world. He was the founder and CEO of Veridian Corporation, a company he led to a ten-fold increase in sales from $100 million to over $1.2 billion. Under his guidance, Veridian Corporation went public in 2002, earning recognition as one of the top ten global IPOs of the year. Following his success at Veridian, Langstaff served as Chairman of the Board and later President & CEO of TASC. His corporate leadership roles extend to numerous other private and public companies, including Boston Dynamics, Premier, Inc., and Idemia-National Security Solutions, where he serves as board chair.

In addition to his leadership roles, Langstaff has demonstrated a strong commitment to the arts and cultural preservation. As a baroque soloist, he has performed with both amateur and professional orchestras, showcasing his range of talents outside of the business sector. His passion for music also led him to executive produce the PBS television special "Soundbreaking," which explores the history of recorded music.
