CEO and General Manager with a strong record of building high tech businesses with particular depth in electronics, advanced materials, and digital health. Particular focus on developing new businesses combining sensors & data analytics to derive insights which solve valuable problems—now called the internet of things. Deep expertise in commercializing innovation through market and application identification, new product development, business model and market entry strategy, joint ventures, and international expansion. Successful career includes CEO of MC10, General Manager with full P&L responsibility for $500M global business unit at Teradyne, and product and marketing leadership roles at KLA-Tencor. Demonstrated success in corporate and entrepreneurial environments; providing business focus among world-class scientists, doctors and technologists.

Dave Icke joined BD recently to lead their Digital Health business. He has experience as a CEO and General Manager with a strong record of building high tech businesses with depth in electronics, advanced materials, and digital health. Most recently, he has been consulting to multiple private and public companies in the digital health space, including Flextronics, Qualcomm Life, Twine Health, Profusa, and Sonitus.

Dave joined MC10 as its founding CEO in 2009. MC10 is pioneering thin, soft, patch-based wearables for biometric sensing for digital health, sports/fitness, and medical devices. As CEO, Dave set vision and strategy, secured financing and partnerships, built and drove the team, and developed global brand exposure.

Previously, Dave held marketing, process and product development, and general management roles in the semiconductor industry, in both Silicon Valley and Boston. By deploying sensors, collecting timely data, and applying analytics to derive insights for customers, Dave helped grow KLA-Tencor’s inspection business from $30M to $700M over an eight-year period. While at Teradyne, he led global business units between $50M and $500M in revenue. He began his professional career at Cypress Semiconductor as a process development engineer.

Dave has a passion for building great teams, commercializing innovative technologies, and introducing new products that enable customers to change the standard of care. Dave has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He lives near Boston with his wife and four children.
