David de Rothschild

David de Rothschild is an adventurer, environmentalist, eternal optimist, and the founder of myoo.com, a platform that uses exploration, adventure, and storytelling to give nature a voice. He leads a new generation of action-oriented change makers, instilling hope that the fate of our planet can be positively altered.

His immeasurable curiosity about the natural world has led him to some of the most remote and fragile ecosystems on our planet, aiming to bring attention and innovative solutions to urgent global environmental issues. This mission is vividly illustrated in projects such as the Plastiki expedition and his exploration of the effects of the Belo Monte dam in Brazil's Amazon rainforest in 2011. In early 2010, he designed and built a fully recyclable catamaran made buoyant by 12,500 reclaimed plastic bottles, sailing 8,000 miles across the Pacific to spotlight the devastating effects of single-use plastics. The journey was seen and heard around the world by millions.

David's unwavering belief that collaborative efforts can change entrenched behaviors is complemented by his engaging approach to education and communication. He effectively reaches a diverse audience, from children to world leaders, and organizations like NASA to various NGOs. His advocacy extends through his public speaking, including a notable TEDx talk titled "Tackling Our Nature Deficiency Disorder."
