Debbie Levitt

Debbie Levitt has been a UX strategist, designer, and corporate trainer since 1995, building a legacy of innovation and excellence in the field.

Early in her career, she worked on digital strategies for The Miss America Organization, Schering-Plough, and numerous local businesses, while also customizing large eCommerce sites before off-the-shelf solutions became widely available. Alongside her professional work, Debbie taught school teachers to write HTML and ethically source web images, demonstrating her commitment to education and ethical practices in the digital space.

As a "serial contractor," Debbie has spent much of the past decade in the Bay Area, where she has influenced the user interfaces of major companies like Sony, Wells Fargo, Constant Contact, Macys.com, and Oracle, as well as various Silicon Valley startups. Her ability to swoop in, solve complex problems, and leave a lasting positive impact has earned her the nickname "Mary Poppins" from clients, while others have dubbed her "Tenacious D." for her relentless advocacy for the customer and her role as a change agent within organizations.

Debbie's expertise is channeled through her agency, Ptype UX and Product Design Agency, which has been a trusted partner for companies ranging from startups to the Fortune 100. She is also a sought-after speaker, having presented at major conferences including eBay’s Developer Conference, PayPal’s Developer Conference, UXPA, and WeAreDevelopers. Her insights are regularly shared through her column in CMSWire’s Digital Experience channel, titled "DevOps, Product Design, and UX."

An O’Reilly published author and one of the few instructors recommended by Axure, Debbie has developed a range of courses available on her Ptype Academy website. Her training sessions have been attended by employees of Oracle, Salesforce, NBC Universal, Intuit, and other leading organizations.
