Devi Mahadevia

Devi Mahadevia is the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Growth at SoundCloud, where she considers growth strategy, platform partnerships, and business and corporate development. Prior to SoundCloud, Mahadevia was heavily involved in Meta's sports programming efforts, where she was driving the company's efforts to redefine the live-viewing experience for the world’s largest community of sports fans. Further in her role at Meta, she was responsible for the content, community, and engagement growth of entertainment, music, sports, fitness, and wellness verticals across a portfolio of Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 products. After more than a decade in the sports world, with stops at the National Football League (NFL), National Hockey League (NHL), and Comcast, Mahadevia's mission was to harness the power of sports to build products that bring communities closer together. By amplifying real-time social interactions around live sporting events on Facebook, Mahadevia was able to grow the global fan bases of sports like Major League Baseball (MLB), Champions League soccer, World Surf League, CrossFit, World Wrestling Entertainment, and more.

Prior to Facebook, Mahadevia was the Director of Corporate Development at the NFL, where she supported the launch of the league’s media and technology investment fund, built new revenue streams through opportunities such as mobile streaming apps in all NFL stadiums, led equity deals, and developed new mobile products. At the NHL, Devi was the Director of Digital Business Development and Social Media strategy, overseeing content licensing and distribution across all digital media platforms. Mahadevia was introduced to the sports industry while at Comcast Interactive Media, where she developed digital media product strategies for regional sports networks and supported subscriber retention by developing new digital products and content. Before entering the sports world, Devi began her career in various operations roles at the aerospace and defense company Lockheed Martin, supporting the country's national security and intelligence agencies.

Mahadevia holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and a BS from the University of Maryland College Park. She has substantial experience in strategic, business development, and operational roles in consumer verticals. Her skills include Strategic Partnerships, General Management, Product Management, Business Development, Digital Distribution, Content Strategy, Team building, Operations Planning, and Go-To-Market strategies.
