Devon Aoki Biography
Devon Edweena Aoki was born to Rocky Aoki (A Japanese Olympic wrestler and Benihana steakhouse magnate) and Pamela Hilburger (An Anglo-Bavarian jewelry designer). A native of New York, Devon grew up in high-class Malibu only to later move back to the city.
Supposedly discovered at a Rancid concert in New York City, Devon was introduced to supermodel Kate Moss by her godmother who would later take the young Devon under her wing. At 14, Devon signed onto Storm Model Management at the tender age of 14. In 1998, Devon replaced Naomi Campbell as the face of Versace.
In 2003, Devon appeared in Death of a Dynasty, a musical comedy. Later on, Devon would appear as 'Suki' in the sequel, 2 Fast 2 Furious. Coming up, Devon will play a girl named Dominique in D.E.B.S., a female spy film that will be released later this year. In the future, Devon plans to release her own clothing line along with her debut album.
Recently, she has joined L.A.'s ICM for representation and The Firm for management. As Devon's star continues to get brighter, she will no doubt join the ranks of the world's most recognized and cherished supermodels.
