Doug Drysdale

Doug Drysdale serves as the CEO of Cybin, drawing on a rich history of executive leadership in the pharmaceutical industry. During his tenure as CEO, the company was taken public on the New York Stock Exchange and now has two clinical-stage programs in development for the treatment of major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder.

As a seasoned professional with 35+ years of experience in the healthcare sector, Drysdale has successfully built and revived three pharmaceutical companies, marshaling approximately $4 billion in both public and private capital. Notably, under his stewardship, Alvogen, a global pharmaceutical company, burgeoned from inception to amass $450 million in revenues across 35 countries. Drysdale's hands-on approach extended to chairing the board of directors of a NASDAQ-listed company, reaffirming his capabilities in corporate governance.

His strategic acumen is further demonstrated in his role in the recapitalization of NASDAQ-listed Pernix Therapeutics, where he spearheaded a fundraising drive that raised $65 million. Previously, Drysdale was Head of M&A at Actavis Group, leading 15 corporate acquisitions across three continents, between 2004 and 2008.

In recognition of his entrepreneurial achievements, Drysdale was honored with the E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2012. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Microbial and Molecular Biology from the University of East Anglia in the United Kingdom.
