Dr. Angelo Volandes is a physician, writer, and patients' rights advocate who also serves as a health outcomes researcher and faculty member at Harvard. He practices internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and conducts NIH grant-funded research. As the Co-Founder and President of Advance Care Planning (ACP) Decisions, a non-profit foundation, he is dedicated to implementing systems and technologies to improve the quality of care delivered to patients in the health care system.
Dr. Volandes is the author of the book "The Conversation: A Revolutionary Plan for End-of-Life Care," which provides insights into how people can empower themselves to get the right medical care at the right time and on their terms. He believes that improving the healthcare system begins with empowering patients and families to make informed decisions.
Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Volandes' educational background spans Harvard, Yale, and the University of Pennsylvania.
