Dr. Terrie Rose

Child development expert Dr. Terrie Rose wants to support a world in which all children thrive and give back to their communities. With three decades of experience, she toiled in the trenches as a parent, speaker, writer, and social entrepreneur. Now as a grandparent and wellbeing advocate, her perspective and work continue to evolve.

Rose's newest adventure, Growing Awareness, supports adults, in taking care of ourselves so that we can take care of others. Growing Awareness is professional development, self-discovery of our minds and wellbeing. The field of interpersonal neurobiology, trauma-sensitive practices, and her wellbeing journey, inspire her work.

Fulfilling her teenage dream of being an actor, Terrie is on stage as a national speaker and has a TEDx talk, From the Baby's Point of View. She trains health and education professionals about child development, trauma, and parenting. Her fusion of real-life stories and her conversational techniques connect audiences with her passion.

Rose is the founder of Baby’s Space, located in the heart of Minneapolis’s urban American Indian community. She is a licensed child psychologist and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. Terrie is a fellow with Zero To Three and Ashoka, recognized for her dedication to creating solutions to problems impacting young children.

She is the author of "Emotional Readiness: How Early Experience And Mental Health Predict School Success".
