Drew Afualo

Drew Afualo is best known as the internet’s “Crusader for Women” and is at the head of a new generation of entertainment’s rising stars. She gained recognition on the social media platform TikTok for her distinctive high-pitched laugh and her videos responding to people with misogynistic and fatphobic viewpoints. Today, she is also a podcast host and author and has amassed over 9 million followers across her social platforms.

Afualo's debut book, "Loud: Accept Nothing Less Than the Life You Deserve," is part manual, part manifesto, and part memoir. It makes it clear that behind her fearsome laugh is a mission and a life philosophy, a strategy for self-confidence from the inside out, and a pathway to once and for all remove men from the center of how women and fems think about themselves.

Afualo hosts two podcasts, "The Comment Section" and "Two Idiot Girls." In "The Comment Section," she interviews fellow online creators and media figures about feminist issues, relationships, and empowerment. Her guests have included notable figures such as Brittany Broski, Jackie Aina, and Pokimane. "Two Idiot Girls," co-hosted with her sister Deison, tackles topics such as media representation, racism, and mental health.

Afualo, who comes from a Samoan family, credits her upbringing for instilling her self-confidence, sense of humor, and feminist viewpoint. She is known for her outspokenness on social issues, particularly in combating misogyny and promoting women's empowerment.
