Duncan McIntyre Biography
Duncan McIntyre is the founder and CEO of Highland Electric Transportation, a pioneering company focused on electrifying school bus fleets. He created an innovative service-based model that electrifies transportation for school districts, leveraging public-private partnerships to address climate change. Under his leadership, Highland Electric Transportation expanded from serving a single customer to partnering with multiple school districts across the U.S. and Canada within five years.
McIntyre's background spans the energy and financial sectors. He began his career as an analyst at Harris Williams & Co., later becoming an Associate at Polaris Venture Partners. In 2010, he joined PowerAdvocate, focusing on new market business development, before co-founding Altenex, an energy and emissions management network, where he served as Managing Partner. Following this, McIntyre held the position of Senior Vice President at Edison Energy, LLC, before becoming the CEO of Highland Electric Fleets later that same year. He also served as a member of the Advisory Board at Fluid Trade from 2009 to 2011.
McIntyre earned his Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Babson College.
