Durana Elmi

Durana Elmi is the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Cymbiotika, a San Diego-based wellness brand known for its innovative health supplements. Born in Afghanistan, Elmi immigrated to the United States at just three months old, growing up in a traditional Afghan household in Southern California. Her upbringing instilled in her a profound sense of strength and resilience, qualities that have been instrumental in her personal and professional journey.

Determined to defy traditional expectations, Elmi pursued higher education, graduating from University of California, Los Angeles. She embarked on a successful corporate career, notably serving as Director of Marketing at AT&T, where she honed her leadership and strategic skills. However, her entrepreneurial spirit led her to co-found Cymbiotika in 2017, alongside her husband, Shahab Elmi, and partner Chervin Jafarieh.

Under Elmi's leadership, Cymbiotika has experienced remarkable growth, evolving from a single-product company to a comprehensive wellness brand. The company's mission: to inspire individuals to take charge of their health by providing high-quality supplements sourced from the cleanest, plant-based ingredients.

Elmi is also deeply committed to empowering women. As a mother of two daughters, she draws daily inspiration from the women around her and strives to be a strong role model. She actively fosters a work environment that empowers women to lead fulfilling lives, reflecting her dedication to gender equality and personal growth.
